DEPARTMENT: Institute for Professional Excellence

 

LOCATION: Grand Rapids-Lettinga Campus

 

REPORTS TO: Executive Director for IPEx

 

PAY: $65,000

 

Who You Are: As an Account Manager at our company, you are a proactive and customer-focused professional who thrives in building strong relationships with clients. You have excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of sales and account management principles. You are driven by achieving targets and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

 

• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships.

• Serving as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts.

• Understanding client needs and objectives to propose solutions that meet their requirements.

• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure our solutions' timely and successful delivery according to client needs.

• Developing account strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.

• Monitor account performance and prepare regular reports on account status.

• Identifying and pursuing opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services.

• Provides GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.

• Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values.

• Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned

 

What You'll Need:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

• Proven experience in account management or sales roles, preferably in the learning and development field.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.

• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office Suite.

• Proficiency in or demonstrated capability to learn CRM software (Salesforce.com).

 

What Would Set You Apart:

 

• Experience in learning and development or the higher education industry.

• Knowledge of and experience in Salesforce.com.

• Advanced data analysis and reporting skills.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Strong presentation skills.

Who You'll Work With: You will collaborate closely with our other sales team members, our operations team, and the Executive Director for IPEx. You will also collaborate with other areas of the university connected to your clients through our corporate partnerships. Additionally, you will interact directly with clients from various industries, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions. This role reports to the Executive Director and involves regular coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.
