LOCATION: Grand Rapids, MI

DEPARTMENT: Office of Advancement

PAY: $42,000 - $45,000 per year

The Role:

 

The Development Coordinator is responsible for managing the Raiser's Edge data system and identifying prospective new corporate, foundation, and major gift donors for general funding and programs throughout the University. These responsibilities are performed ethically and consistently with the University's mission, vision, and values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.

You Will:

 

• Records gifts and pledges (including reminders and payment invoices) made to the Foundation using Blackbaud's The Raiser's Edge database.

 

• Responsible for managing the gift acknowledgment process, including preparing and distributing gift acknowledgments within two business days, tax receipts (according to IRS regulations), and various gift/pledge reports.

 

• Balance, reconcile and report Foundation receipts to the University accounting department while serving as the Advancement liaison within each department.

 

• Provide information and support to facilitate the annual internal audit of the Davenport University Foundation.

 

• Update and maintain records on The Raiser's Edge database; ensure data integrity and adhere to system coding policies and procedures.

 

Awesome if You Have:

 

• Minimum of 3 years office experience working with relational databases.

 

• Knowledge of financial and statistical record-keeping techniques.

 

• Excellent attention to detail skills.

 

Extra Awesome If You Have:

 

• A working knowledge of a relational database - Raiser's Edge, Research Point, Banner, etc.

 

• A demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with financial data and computerized data systems.
