TITLE: DreamLab Experience Associate
REPORTS TO: Girl Experience Manager
Classification/FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-exempt
LOCATION: DreamLab-Kentwood, Michigan
GRADE: 2
SALARY RANGE: $18.00 per hour – $20.00 per hour
HIRING RANGE: $18.00 per hour
AVAILABLE SHIFTS: Please indicate your preferred shift when applying
Shift A: 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday, with alternating Saturdays required, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)
Shift B: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday, with alternating Saturdays required, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)
POSITION SUMMARY: The DreamLab Experience Associate supports the day-to-day operations of Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore’s DreamLab. This role ensures a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging experience for all visitors through customer service, program facilitation, membership recruitment, facility upkeep, and retail operations. This position will be cross trained in the DreamLab Shop to provide support as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist all visitors, creating an inclusive, helpful, and positive experience.
- Coordinate DreamLab reservations, support tours, events, member recruitment, and program setup/cleanup.
- Lead and facilitate activities such as badge workshops, open houses, and drop-in programming.
- Assist with reporting, data collection, and partner-led program opportunities.
- Partner with all internal teams to align organizational efforts with local program and overall organizational needs.
- Prepare and maintain the facility for guest use, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and readiness.
- Monitor the facility to identify and report issues such as leaks, running toilets, equipment malfunctions, and complete maintenance request forms as needed.
- Coordinate day-to-day facility operations, including opening/closing responsibilities, equipment checks, and security.
- Support retail operations, including sales, cash handling, and loss prevention as needed.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School graduate, GED, associate’s degree
- One year or more of retail, customer service, camp, or program facilitation experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations of youth, staff, and volunteers.
- Experience working with youth in program, camp, or educational settings preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
- Willingness to learn tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Point of Sale systems, and Checkfront.
- First Aid and CPR certified or ability to attain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employment is dependent upon the results of a criminal background investigation.
- Adherence to Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore policies and procedures.
- Registration as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends.
- Willingness to travel as job requires.
- Capability to provide own transportation and maintain valid operator license.
