WORK LOCATION: Grand Rapids - Lettinga Campus

 

DEPARTMENT: Registar/Records

 

PAY:$15.50-16.25 per hour

 

We are looking for a detail-driven data specialist to join our Transfer Services Team as a Transcription Specialist at DU.

What you will do:

 

1. Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding stakeholder needs and expectations.

 

2. Evaluate transcripts with the highest degree of accuracy and promptness.

 

3. Utilize ERP system (Banner) to record transfer credits in student files.

 

4. Verify there is no duplication of course credit using degree tracking software, Degree Works.

 

5. Research online university catalogs, certificate programs and reference manuals for possible transfer credit.

 

6. Process guest applications out to other colleges and back to Davenport University to ensure seamless transfer.

 

7. Develop and nurture relationships with internal departments such as admissions, academics, enrollment, etc.

 

8. Demonstrate and promote the university cultural values.

 

9. Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.

 

10. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

 

• Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with related work experience.

 

• At least 3 years of previous work in a registrar's office.

 

Awesome if you Have:

 

• Bilingual, Spanish speaking ability experience is valued.

 

• Ability to effectively plan, develop goals, meet deadlines and accomplish goals while prioritizing workloads.

 

• Great relationships building skills.

 

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite required. Experience with ERP systems preferred. Banner and DegreeWorks experience a plus.

 

• Ability to maintain accuracy in detail work over long periods of time
