Pay: Based on education and experience (Hourly/Non-Exempt)
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Preferred:
- Six months of post-high school education in Behavioral Sciences or a related field
- CNA certification
- 1-2 years of college coursework
- Ability to work with individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Valid Michigan driver's license may be required
Responsibilities
- Support patients in hospital and residential settings
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene
- Provide emotional support and promote a therapeutic environment
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Document patient progress and incidents
- Support treatment programming and community activities
