Job Description
The Hope College Department of Physics invites applications for one. Assistant Professor of Physics Instruction beginning Fall 2025. This is are new able appointment. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, providing individual instruction during office hours, preparing, administering and grading examinations in courses across the physics curriculum, and department and college service. Applications from those with industrial experience are encouraged. Opportunities exist to work with physics research groups, though research is not required as part of this position and therefore is not compensated with release time during the academic year. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications
A Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field is required, with atleast 18 graduate credit hours in Physics. Ability to teach any standard courses from introductory to advanced physics courses is required.
