The GRHC operates eight low-income housing developments and administers federal rental subsidy programs as well as a Rapid Re-Housing program. About this role:

The Human Resources Manager will report to the Executive Director and is a key member of our leadership team. This role is a driving force behind our culture and will be responsible for seamlessly delivering the strategic and tactical components of the human resources function. The HR Manager will have a high impact on employee engagement while working alongside the leadership team to build an employee centric culture. We're looking for a collaborative and strategic partner who is excited about being an HR Department of 1, willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done and is skilled at connecting with employees at all levels of the organization. Those with a broad human resources background are strongly encouraged to apply. In this role you will:

  • First and foremost, align with our mission as an organization
  • Utilize your Bachelor's degree (HRCI or SHRM Certification a plus!) and 5-8+ years of experience in a well-rounded, HR generalist role to execute all areas of the HR function
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to understand the organization's long-term mission and goals and align the execution of the overall people and culture strategy, systems, tools, processes and structure to support
  • Advise the leadership team on human resources matters, and provide insights and recommendations to support business objectives and drive organizational effectiveness
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues by taking time to get to know our employees on a personal level to help champion our culture and values and maintain a collaborative, results driven, inclusive, and safe environment
  • Manage all aspects of human resources and the employee lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, and separation
  • Be adept at learning, optimizing, and integrating a variety of HR & payroll technology
  • Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, safety, and other federal, state and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Continually evaluate policies and programs to determine any gaps, and remain competitive within the industry including compensation, benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, and career development to ensure applicants and employees of all backgrounds are welcomed, celebrated and can thrive.
  • Compile, track, and report on human resources measurables and drive improvements through analysis of trends and metrics
