Who We Are

At Butterball® Farms, we've been Imagining Butter Differently for over 60 years. We are a second-generation, family-owned business with a national presence, proud to produce artisan-quality butters and value-added flavor solutions that enrich the customer experience. But our work goes beyond butter-we are passionate about our mission to Enrich Lives, which includes our customers, employees, stakeholders, and the communities we serve.

Our ability to achieve this mission starts with great people. At Butterball® Farms, we believe in bringing our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles to life every day. We are deeply committed to fostering a workplace where integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do. We know that our success depends on the contributions of our employees, the support of our neighbors, and the strength of our community partnerships.

Our Mission Statement is simple yet powerful: Enrich Lives

We achieve this by following our Guiding Principles:

  • Have integrity in all interactions.
  • Anticipate and address customer needs.
  • Diligently pursue excellence.
  • Promote continuous learning and innovation.
  • Make the workplace an enjoyable and integrated part of life.
  • Communicate openly and honestly to promote effective teamwork.

Who You Are: You are a values-driven leader whose personal principles align with our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles. As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will be a key member of our executive leadership team, collaborating with the CEO, COO, and VP of Sales to advance Butterball Farms as a vibrant, people-centric organization and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.

You excel at leading HR strategy and organizational design, with a proven ability to oversee programs that drive leadership development, talent management, succession planning, and organizational resilience. You will also take ownership of compensation, benefits, and compliance as it relates to HR, ensuring these critical areas align seamlessly with our organizational goals and values.

This on-site role offers you a unique opportunity to blend strategic vision with hands-on execution. You will build and elevate the Human Resources function, creating processes and systems that support all areas of the business while advancing our mission to Enrich Lives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you thrive on the chance to make a meaningful impact across the organization--and in the lives of the people who work for us.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will make an immediate and meaningful impact, contributing directly to our mission to Enrich Lives. Specifically, you will:

  • Act with Integrity: Build trust through fairness, empathy, and respect in all interactions, fostering an environment where people are valued and supported.
  • Leverage Your Expertise: Bring 10+ years of HR experience (preferably in a mid-sized manufacturing organization) and a bachelor's degree in HR or a related field (HRCI or SHRM certification a plus!) to lead and advance the Human Resources function with diligence and excellence.
  • Expand Opportunities: Develop creative and inclusive strategies for hiring top talent, ensuring access to opportunities for a wide range of candidates and cultivating strong, long-term relationships with organizations and individuals who can enhance the talent pipeline.
  • Foster Growth and Learning: Design and implement orientation, training, and employee development programs that empower individuals to succeed. Collaborate with leaders to create strong career paths and ensure a fair and effective performance management process.
  • Support Change and Resilience: Lead organizational change initiatives, helping employees navigate transitions with empathy and clarity. Align change efforts with company goals while minimizing disruptions and fostering unity.
  • Ensure Fair Practices: Work with the HR team to maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Uphold fairness and consistency in all HR practices, ensuring policies and decisions reflect a commitment to integrity and organizational success.
  • Cultivate Belonging: Create an environment where employees feel valued, respected, and connected, regardless of their role or background. Champion fairness and mutual respect in all interactions to support a workplace culture that aligns with our guiding principles.
  • Elevate the Workplace Experience: Develop programs and initiatives that make the workplace an enjoyable and enriching part of employees' lives, while fostering collaboration and teamwork through open and honest communication.
  • Build HR Infrastructure: Establish comprehensive HR standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement metrics to assess and improve HR performance. Use these tools to align HR efforts with organizational goals and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead Total Rewards Programs: Design and oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, inclusive, and aligned with employee needs. Manage all aspects, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, supplemental medical, 401(k) plans, PTO, FMLA, and unemployment compensation.
