Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Lead New Product Development Program Manager to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Lead New Product Development Program Manager, you will:
Lead large and complex projects or programs, leading cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business objectives. Provide expert project management guidance, manage project interdependencies, and navigate complex challenges to ensure successful project or program delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead project and/or program teams, overseeing all aspects from initiation to closure.
- With management team, develop strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with project or program budgets, allocating resources strategically.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with leaders from other departments to align efforts with business goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, exploring and implementing new technologies, processes, and approaches to enhance effectiveness.
- Stay informed and apply new knowledge about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project/program management to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent in relevant field of study
- Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience leading OEM new product development projects from concept through launch, including cross-functional team leadership and service solutions program management OR 4 years experience leading OEM new product development projects from concept through launch, including cross-functional team leadership and service solutions program management if no post-secondary education.
- 7 years experience leading OEM new product development projects from concept through launch, including cross-functional team leadership and service solutions program management with Bachelor’s Degree OR 5 years experience with Master’s Degree.
- Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
- Certifications/Licensures:(Project Management (PMP, IPMA)).
- Proven ability to influence and drive decision-making while securing stakeholder alignment.
- Strong leadership with a strategic, forward-thinking mindset.
- Quick learner with the ability to rapidly grasp and navigate the NPD process.
- Experience collaborating with industrial design teams to refine and finalize product concepts.
- Ability to balance design intent with engineering feasibility and cost targets.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle in the furniture or related industries.
- Skilled in using design and engineering tools such as CAD, PLM systems, or design visualization software.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Clear, confident communicator across all organizational levels.
- Previous experience in the furniture industry.
