Summary of Position: The Mathematics Department seeks applications for a one-year adjunct instructor 3 postdoctoral teaching position. This position will collaborate on developmental education initiatives and teach quantitative reasoning sequence courses.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching, the ability to work effectively with both faculty colleagues and students, and participation in other functions of academic significance.

The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest.
Position Type: Faculty - Temporary & Continuing
Required Education: (1) PhD in Mathematics with evidence of work in mathematics education
or
(2) PhD in Mathematics Education.

Degree must be conferred by August 1, 2024.
Required Work Experience: The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential for higher education teaching excellence and the ability to work effectively with both faculty and students. Experience with and/or interest in teaching lower division and developmental math courses is essential.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Faculty members also have professional responsibilities that may include continuing professional development; participation in curriculum development and university committees; orientation, recruitment, and registration of students; keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment.

Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
