The Assistant Director of Campus Activities and Conduct is a member of the Student Life and Conduct team. The office serves the College and students in several ways, including front desk services/sales (RaiderCards, bus passes, movie tickets, etc.), coordinating all major student events and student clubs/organizations on campus, oversight of the food pantry and dining services, and enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct.
The Assistant Director is the individual who has primary responsibility in upholding offer prevention education programming, processing conduct reports, and advising the Campus Activities Board.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage conduct investigations by obtaining information via discussions with students, faculty/staff, and reviewing documents, or other appropriate avenues in order to make informed decisions.
• Develop, plan, coordinate and evaluate student-centered awareness campaigns and training around the Student Code of Conduct, the CARE team, and sexual misconduct.
• Serve as the advisor for the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Recruit, train, supervise, and support members of this group in developing a campus wide offering of events and activities that promote student involvement and engagement. This includes oversight of annual events including, but not limited to, Welcome Week, Homecoming and StressBuster/Finals Relaxer.
• Assist in developing a campus wide offering of events, trainings, and programs that promote student wellness, including programming on sexual misconduct awareness/prevention and drug and alcohol education.
• Maintain contact with faculty and staff members regarding students who have been referred to CARE/BIT Subteam for conduct or academic dishonesty by adding contact notes to the CARE/BIT Subteam system and Advocate and following up in person by email or phone.
• Serve as a backup on the Behavioral Intervention Team for the director, providing support and follow-up to the process and/or the students as necessary.
• Support efforts to provide training and development and general support for student leaders and clubs/orgs.
• Coordinate the scheduling and preparation for student hearing committees when an appeal is requested.
• Ability to act independently and to maintain excellent professional and confidential relationships with students, staff, and faculty.
• Inform students of College policies and make appropriate referrals to College departments as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
• Coordinate and facilitate training events and experiences for student leaders (and advisors) which help develop leadership skills and abilities in students.
• Assist with Student Life services including duties related to opening, closing and managing the office.
• Participate in the development of marketing strategies to promote campus activities and services to maximize student involvement.
• Persons in this role are identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSA's will be trained and responsible for reporting Clery Reportable Crimes to Campus Police as required by the Clery Act.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position.
• Evening and weekend hours are required and are scheduled in advance.
• Seek and participate in professional development opportunities that provide current best practices in regards to student conduct.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Credentials
• Master's degree in student affairs or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in student affairs or related field required.
Work Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in student conduct or related work required.
