STATUS: Full-time, exempt

LOCATION: Grand Rapids - W.A. Lettinga Campus

REPORTS TO: Director of Enterprise Applications

SALARY: $70,000 - $74,000

SUMMARY:

This position will support the initiatives of the University by providing support for systems, software, applications and security administration for Enterprise Applications. This includes application upgrades, interface creation and general support of the day-to-day operations of our ERP system. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University's mission, vision, and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide system analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation, system review, follow-up and closure to special projects as well as on-going support.
• Provide application system administration support and configuration for Banner software and all related third-party tools and packages.
• Create or modify SQL or shell scripts, views, triggers and other related objects to facilitate data sharing.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership to various user committees to further enhance the ERP system.
• Assist system users with software problems and data integrity issues.
• Design, write, and test new software for accuracy, efficiency and compatibility within the broader applications.
• Develop Fine-Grain Access Controls to secure sensitive information.
• Process trouble calls and requests provided by the CSC or the Director of Enterprise Applications.
• Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies associated within Information Technology or other role specific regulations.
• Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.
• Attend meetings as needed. Provides GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree in information technology/computer science required, Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience using Oracle and/or SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL and shell scripting required.
• Prior professional experience with the SungardHE Banner systems, ODS, Workflow, Luminis, Evisions products, Image Now, UC4/AppWorx, DegreeWorks, Touchnet, CBORD, version control, change management and relational databases preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, develop goals, meet deadlines, and accomplish goals while prioritizing workloads.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation including but not limited to: standard criminal background check and employment reference checks. Select positions may be subject to drug/alcohol screening.
• Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain). Some travel between campuses required (own transportation).
• No regular lifting requirements, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or Saturday as needed, additional hours during peak times or as required.
