SUMMARY:

The Campus Executive Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the University's Great Lakes Bay Region campus in Midland, Michigan. This position acts as a central point of contact for the campus community while ensuring a positive learning environment and a smooth running of campus activities. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the campus Strategic Plan to support the University's Vision and to establish and build positive Student, community, community colleges, and other higher education and business Partnerships. This position will ensure programs and services are implemented that result in increased enrollment and revenue diversification as well as increased retention, graduation, and student success rates. Serves as liaison with university leaders and faculty/staff in related university-wide roles to ensure consistent, coordinated efforts. These responsibilities are performed ethically and consistent with the University's mission, vision, and values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively lead and manage the enrollment of new and current students in collaboration with other leaders.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives and partnerships to advance the University's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
• Align the needs of corporate partners with the university's goals and capabilities.
• Hire, train, manage and develop staff. Provide leadership, support, and guidance to campus staff.
• Attain recruitment, retention, stakeholder satisfaction, and other established goals and objectives.
• Ensure all employees serve students to obtain their education and career objectives.
• Demonstrates inclusive leadership to develop and maintain a student-centered learning environment and culture consistent with the University's stated cultural values - STAIR.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, business and industry, local and state officials, other institutions of higher education, and local school districts. Promote enrollment and corporate services to support the campus and university goals through active participation in regional organizations/groups.
• Identify trends and needs in the community that affect enrollment, corporate partnerships, and general business-related activities and provide input into public relations and public policy campaign objectives and initiatives.
• Assist the Office of Advancement in identifying potential local funding opportunities with local entities.
• Serve as a University Ambassador and attend community/public events that assist Davenport University in building a positive and clear brand image in the community. This includes but is not limited to serving on local boards, as approved by the President, and representing the university in local communitywide events
• Collaborate with the financial management team to ensure proper budgeting, analysis of monthly P&L statements, and cost controls to meet targeted financial goals.
• Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.
• Provide networking opportunities with area or industry-specific employers as a ready source of employment and internships for students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, faculty, and staff to effectively plan for and utilize university resources.
• Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes the Higher Learning Commission, NCAA, GLIAC, and national affiliations associated with other role-specific regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree completed or in progress required. Earned doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership and management experience.
• Higher education experience preferred but not required.
• Established community and business relationships in the Great Lakes Bay Region preferred.
• Positive administrative skills in strategic planning, budgeting, information technology, and human resources.
• Evidence of commitment and achievement related to learning and student success.
• Successful experience in continuous quality improvement and commitment to a team environment.
• Successful experience using technology to improve learning, delivery systems, and services.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and metrics.
• Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of online learning.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computerized data systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation, and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and oral, which transcend diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and relate well to students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, or potential donors while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
• Demonstrated motivational and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University.
• Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or Saturdays as needed, additional hours during peak times, or as required.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

• Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Travel as needed. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain).
• Lifting to 50 lbs.
