SUMMARY

 

Plan, direct and coordinate projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. The Senior ProgramManager will act as a customer liaison to facilitate on timedelivery of plannednew program initiatives, operations for Job Trainingand Workforce Trainingprograms as assigned by the Dean or Associate Dean of Workforce Training, and to ensure compliance with federal financial aid, veterans services, and assessment activities for non-credit programs.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

• Consults with leadership and reviews non-credit program class schedules, room assignments, and project proposals to determine goals,time frame, fundinglimitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.

• Develops projectplans specifying: goals,strategy, staffing, scheduling, contingency plans and allocation of available resources in partnership with the Associate Dean and Dean.

• Identifies and schedules projectdeliverables, milestones, and required tasks.

• Trains staff and facultyon topics relatedto assessment, compliance for non-credit financialaid, veterans' services and workforce program funding.

• Establishes standardsand procedures for program and project reporting and documentation.

• Reviews statusreports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.

• Prepares projectstatus reports and keeps management, clients and other informed of project status and related issues.

• Confers with workforce facultyand staff to provide technicaladvice and resolveproblems.

• Develops businessprocesses that ensuredeveloped application meets all projectrequirements.

• Develops and maintains technical and project documentation. Coordinates the collection, compilation and analysis or program data; develops, write and presents comprehensive (statistical and narrative) program reports.

• Coordinates projectactivities with marketing/outreach, sales,operations, customer support,and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are met.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Education Credentials

 

• Bachelor's degreein Applied Arts,Communication, Career Technical Education or Businessrequired. Master's degree preferred.

• Project Management certification is preferred.

 

Work Experience

 

• 3-5 years'experience working in business field,higher education, or career technicaleducation.

 

• Technology experience in Microsoft OfficeSuite, Google products, experience using high education enterprise systems is preferred.

Working Conditions

 

• GRCC will comply with any mandatedhealth and safetyrequirements. Compliance information is available on our policies website.

• Some schedule flexibility is needed to attend events or activities. Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours 80% of the time. There is the opportunity for some scheduleflexibility to meet work needs.
