The Assistant Technology Specialist Manager supports the maintenance of digital audiovisual systems for recording simulated sessions, including operation of various multimedia components used in the Simulation Center.

The Assistant Technology Specialist Manager supports the maintenance of digital audiovisual systems for recording simulated sessions, including operation of various multimedia components used in the Simulation Center.
JOB CLASSIFICATION & BENEFITS
Minimum starting salary of $51,390, commensurate with experience

PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Assists in providing multimedia technology support for faculty, staff, and students specific to simulation events.
2. Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues and simulation equipment failures.
3. Assist the Multimedia Manager in setting up, resetting, storing, and providing technical support for simulation systems.
4. Prepares and maintains equipment, media, computers, and materials related to simulation learning.
5. Supports digital media use, web stream creation, content distribution, data backup, and troubleshooting.
6. Records and edits videos for faculty.
7. Works with the Multimedia Manager to conduct workshops and training sessions for faculty and staff on simulation multimedia technology and the video capture system.
8. Monitors and maintains inventory of multimedia supplies and equipment by keeping inventory management system up to date.
9. Ensures data confidentiality and security of recorded simulation content.
10. Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices consistent with the Simulation Center mission, vision, values and strategic plan.
12. Actively seek professional development opportunities.
13. Supports the Simulation team during simulated educational scenarios when needed including patient simulator upkeep, programming, and operation.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Associate's degree.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Experience with Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with capacity to learn new software systems required.
• Demonstrated experience to successfully handle multiple demands efficiently.
• Demonstrated experience to successfully navigate challenging situations in the workplace, while using good judgement.
• Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance records.
• Ability to successfully maintain positive intercultural and interpersonal relationships.
• Flexibility in schedule is required due to Simulation Center event times.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Bachelor's degree.
• Database and multimedia maintenance and administration experience preferred.
• Two years of experience in simulation or technical services.
• Experience in higher education and simulation methodology preferred.
• Prior employment in a simulation center or healthcare education environment preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Afternoon/Evening 11-7 Tuesday-Saturday with flex of Monday for the weekends there are no simulation events
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
