LOCATION: W.A. Lettinga Campus - Grand Rapids, Michigan*

TARGET PAY: $65,000 - $70,000

You Will: Be the lead developer with an opportunity to help guide the direction of the development team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the University's Web presence utilizing the tools most needed for specific applications and systems integrations. This can include, but is not limited to Microsoft .NET, Java, CSS, Javascript and HTML5. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University's mission, vision and cultural values.

You will love this job if you are: Able to see the big picture of web development management and process improvement while learning proprietary software to build and manage Davenport's web presence.

Responsibilities:

Awesome if You Have:

• Bachelor's degree and three plus years of web programming/sever administration experience preferred.

• 3+ years experience coding in a .NET, ASP (MVC and Web API) (multiple languages a plus).

• 3+ years of HTML, Javascript and CSS experience required.

• Experience with administering Windows Server 2000 and 2003, IIS operations and utilities.

• Experience with Salesforce a plus.

• Experience with Drupal/PHP a plus.

• Experience with Blackboard LMS a plus.

• Demonstrated communication skills (both written and oral)

• Demonstrated project management skills

• Demonstrated leadership experience on development projects

• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, develop goals, and meet deadlines successfully

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict resolution.

• Demonstrated motivational and problem solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the university.

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and oral which transcend diverse audiences.

• Must be able to work an irregular schedule, evenings or Saturday as needed, additional hours during peak times or as required.

• Must be able to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

• Business office environment. Prolonged sitting and standing. Use of personal computer and telephone (eye and hand strain).

• Occasional travel between locations required (own transportation). No regular lifting requirements, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
